The former Italy manager won the Premier League with Chelsea in his maiden season but has found this year more difficult, sitting nine points behind league leaders Manchester CityANTONIO CONTE has suggested Chelsea’s hectic fixture list means Liverpool will hold an advantage ahead of their clash next Saturday.
The defending champions are currently nine points behind current league leaders Manchester City.
Liverpool and Chelsea will both play Champions League matches mid-week, but the Reds’ game is on Tuesday night while the Blues play 24 hours later.
Chelsea also face a 5,800 mile round trip to Baku, Azerbaijan, while Liverpool only have to journey to Spain.
Conte believes that those 24-hours difference coupled with the travelling gives the Merseyside club an unfair advantage.
He said: “For sure who prepares these fixtures must pay great attention.”
