Manchester United Paul Pogba is set to avoid surgery on his injured hamstring. It had been feared the midfielder may need surgery and would be out of actions for months rather than weeks.
But Finnish medical outlet HS report Old Trafford chiefs have made contact with Dr Orava, the surgeon who operated on Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele’s ruptured tendon.
Orava claims the French international who has enjoyed a great start to the new season, could still recover without going under the knife.
He said: “His injury is a little different to Dembele because he can heal without surgery.
“This kind of problem is usually a sum of many coincidences and is affected by muscle fatigue as well as rapid stopping and quick turning, with the brain going quicker than the feet.
“A decision will be taken next week.”
