Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez wants more playing time upon his return to the club later this summer.
Argentine shot-stopper Martinez is on a short-term loan deal at English Championship club Reading whom he joined during the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old has impressed a great deal for the Royals since joining them earlier this year and that has given him the confidence to stake a claim for a regular spot with the Gunners.
Emiliano Martinez has not been able to establish himself in the Arsenal team since signing for the club from Argentine club Independiente as a 16-year-old.
The then young shot-stopper had promised his father that he will be a success before he left Argentina for the United Kingdom.
In his recent interview monitored by Goal, Emiliano Martinez pointed out that he’s ready for more playing time at Arsenal before adding that he’s tired of loan deals.
The Argentine goalkeeper said that he would like to settle in one place because of his young family before adding that he might need to look for another club if Arsenal doesn’t give him what he wants.
Martinez started the season as the fourth choice Arsenal goalkeeper until third choice David Ospina left for Napoli on loan.
He’s likely to be the Arsenal number two next season since current second choice Petr Cech will hang up his boots this summer.
