Revealed: Man Utd Told To Pay £105m Release Clause For Teen Sensation

Premier League giants Manchester United will have to pay the full release clause for Benfica teen sensation Joao Felix in their quest to sign the highly rated forward.

This is according to the executive manager of Benfica, Domingos Soares de Oliviera, who said that interested clubs will have to pay the £105m release clause in the young player’s contract with the Portuguese Super League giants.

Oliviera spoke to TVI24 about Joao Felix and the release clause in his contract at Benfica.

Portuguese forward Joao Felix has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Benfica and that has attracted the interest of several major European clubs including Manchester United.

Scouts from the Red Devils were in attendance to run the rule over Joao Felix during last weekend’s win over Saint Clara in what was the final league game of the season.

Benfica sealed the league title with the 4-1 victory over Saint Clara.

Champions League finalists Liverpool are also keen on the Benfica starlet but their £61m bid was turned down by the Portuguese outfit towards the end of last year.

Apart from Manchester United and Liverpool, clubs like Juventus, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been linked with a move for the aforementioned Joao Felix.
