Ruben Dias has made 102 appearances for Benfica since he broke into the first team and the defender is now a regular member of the Portuguese national team.
The young defender is a key transfer target for Premier League champions Manchester City who are in urgent need of defensive reinforcements ahead of the January transfer market.
Manchester City have suffered a great deal this season on the defensive front mainly due to the injury to first choice centre back Aymeric Laporte who’s not expected back until February at least.
