CHELSEA star Willian didn’t mean to score against Liverpool yesterday. – That’s the opinion of former Reds striker Robbie Fowler.
The Brazilian cancelled out Mohamed Salah’s opener at Anfield by looping a cross-cum-shot beyond the reach of Simon Mignolet.
When asked whether he meant it after the game, Willian was adamant that the goal was intentional.
But Fowler, who scored 183 goals for Liverpool, is convinced his old side were denied all three points by a huge slice of luck and he has sympathy for the keeper.
“The goal was a fluke,” he said in his Mirror column.
