JACK RODWELL is a target for Italian clubs Torino and Sassuolo this summer.
The former Manchester City midfielder, 28, joined Blackburn on a one-year deal after quitting Sunderland last year and will be available on a free.
His form in the second half of the season — dropping back into the centre of defence — has caught the eye of Torino’s boss, former Watford chief Walter Mazzarri.
But Ewood boss Tony Mowbray could also keep Rodwell and offer him a fresh deal after more than 20 Championship appearances for the club this season.
Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, Mowbray said: “I’m pretty relaxed about Jack’s situation and I think he and his agents are.
“We’ve got two games to go and then we’ll sit down, see what we want to do and he wants to do.
“We’ll see if he fits around where we might be signing players.
“He’ll be told what the competition will be like.

“I see him as a very versatile player who can play at the back and in midfield.
“He’s very technical, I’m interested to see what his thoughts are at the end of the season and what he wants to do.
“There’s no more point me discussing it further until I’ve spoken to him.”
