Manchester United are facing a battle with Real Madrid to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice this summer, according to a report in England.
The Sunday Mirror, as quoted by Italian website Calciomercato, is reporting that the England international is attracting interest from two of Europe’s biggest clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
The same article states that defending Premier League champions Manchester City are also interested in a move for the box-to-box midfielder.
According to the same story, West Ham are under no pressure to sell the former Republic of Ireland international given that Rice has a deal that runs until 2024.
Rice has impressed in the Premier League this season with his mature performances in the middle of the park for Manuel Pellegrini’s team.
The West Ham youth product has scored two goals in 32 appearances in the Premier League, finding the net in victories over Arsenal and Newcastle United.
