Romelu Lukaku believes that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deserves to be appointed as Manchester United boss on a permanent basis.
The Norwegian has had a superb impact at Manchester United since having taken over from Jose Mourinho following his sacking back in December.
Solskjaer led Manchester United to the biggest result of his reign so far on Wednesday night when they sealed a 3-1 win at Paris Saint-Germain to secure their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The Red Devils are also unbeaten in the Premier League under the Norwegian and have been earning huge amounts of praise for their strong displays in recent weeks.
And Lukaku, who was the star of the show on Wednesday night as he netted two goals in Paris, feels that Solskjaer deserves the job on a permanent basis.
Speaking in an interview with beIN Sports, as quoted by Metro, Lukaku said: “I think it has been decided. I think he is going to get it, he should get it – what else does he have to do?
“Look at the games we’ve played. Everyone was talking after the first four games we played because – no disrespect – it was against lesser opposition but then we win at Tottenham away, Chelsea away, Arsenal away – what else does he have to do?
“He keeps us hungry and us as players we want more.”
Manchester United will return to Premier League action on Sunday when they travel to Arsenal to take on Unai Emery’s side.
A win for Arsenal would move them above the Red Devils and up into fourth place in the Premier League table as the race for Champions League qualification hots up.
