Keane is Martin O’Neill’s assistant at Nottingham Forest but won seven titles during his playing career with United.

His ferocious style has remained with the Irishman during post-playing spells as both manager and pundit.

The clash on Wednesday night will be vital in deciding whether the title goes to Liverpool or Man City.

And former City keeper Joe Hart will be opposite Keane as the dramatic events unfold.

The England international is Burnley’s number two keeper but was an integral part in City’s Premier League title wins in 2012 and 2014.

Hart is well known for passionate displays between the sticks which means pairing the hot-heads on such a huge occasion means sparks could fly.

The title is in City’s hands and a win in each of their four remaining games will see the title go back to the Etihad for the second season running.

United are on an awful run of form and their 4-0 thrashing at Everton on Sunday seemed to have all but ended their top four hopes before both Arsenal and Chelsea failed to win.
